Listing Description

The Kaurna Plains Child Care Centre was originally called the Tukutja Preschool. It was created by a few parents who resided in Elizabeth. As more Aboriginal families moved into the northern region the clear need for a preschool was identified. The Aboriginal Education Foundation was the major force behind this project in partnership with the then kindergarten.
