Listing Description

Pipalyatjara Community nestles in a valley in the Tomkinson Ranges. In earlier days it was also known as Mount Davies after the tallest local peak. Chrysoprase was mined until recently. Pipalyatjara has store, clinic and school facilities. Kalka has an Aged Care Center.

Kalka Community is about 15kms by road from Pipalyatjara. It lies on the northern side of the Tomkinson Range. Currently about 12 families are resident. School age children travel to Pipalyatjara each day on the school bus.
